About HMRI

HMRI is a non-profit organization based in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, and supported by Piramal Healthcare. HMRI leverages state-of-the-art technology to bring healthcare to the doorsteps of the rural poor, bridging the gap in healthcare services between rural and urban areas.
HMRI’s mission is to:
- ¤ Provide access to timely and high-quality specialty medical care for the rural masses;
- ¤ Reduce the rural-urban divide in the delivery of healthcare services;
- ¤ Improve diagnostic and treatment facilities for the rural populace;
- ¤ Work at integrating all rural health programs and schemes and support existing public health services; and
- ¤ Provide cost-effective and sustainable solutions.
HMRI strives to achieve its mission by adhering to the following guiding principles:
- ¤ Everyone should have universal access to health information 24X7, basic medical services within three kilometers of a person’s home, and access to physicians and specialists who can address 80% of morbidity.
