HMRI Overview

HMRI is a nonprofit organization based in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, and supported by Piramal Healthcare. HMRI leverages innovative information and communication technologies to take healthcare to the last mile, providing high-quality low-cost health services at the doorsteps of the remotest population of India

HMRI aims to provide results-based health services through IT solutions to policymakers, government and private healthcare providers, and teaching and training institutions. HMRI has signed public-private partnership MOUs with the Governments of Andhra Pradesh and Assam to enhance the healthcare delivery systems of these states. HMRI ultimately hopes to expand its cutting-edge technologies throughout the nation.

HMRI Features

Health Information Helpline

HMRI’s Health Information Helpline provides free medical information, advice, and counseling 24X7 to the populations of Andhra Pradesh via 104 Advice and Assam via 104 Sarathi.

Mobile Health Services

HMRI’s Fixed Date Health Service sends technology-enabled mobile medical units once per month to deliver top-notch healthcare free of cost to populations living beyond three kilometers of the nearest health service provider. HMRI has branded this service 104 Mobile in Andhra Pradesh and Sanjeevani in Assam.



Telemedicine

HMRI’s telemedicine utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide cost-effective point-of-care health services to remote populations, bridging the gap between the rural poor and specialist physicians in urban areas.

“eWorld Jury Choice Award 2011”


Health Management and Research Institute (HMRI) was awarded the eWorld Forum Jury Choice Award 2011 for “Maternal Care in Tribal Areas of Andhra Pradesh using remote medicine technologies” on August 2nd in Delhi.
